The BIG SIGNAL SlimLoop is a non-resonant closed-loop antenna designed for amateur radio operators who have very limited installation space but still want serious HF DX capability. With a maximum width of only 3.40 m / 11.15 ft, it provides multiband coverage from 40 through 6 meters when used with a suitable antenna tuner (ATU).

Installation Recommendation: use an RF choke on the coaxial feed line before it enters the shack.

Heavy-duty 250 × 150 × 8 mm / 9.84 × 5.91 × 0.31 in mounting plate, designed to provide a strong and stable base for the antenna assembly.
• Element Supports
Constructed from 30 × 4 mm / 1.18 × 0.16 in angle sections to provide firm and secure support for the antenna elements.
• Hardware & Fasteners
Made from W4-grade stainless steel, selected to provide excellent mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term durability in outdoor installations.
• Fiberglass Support System
Custom-made reinforced fiberglass elements using telescopic half-round profiles measuring 30 × 25 mm / 1.18 × 0.98 in and 25 × 20 mm / 0.98 × 0.79 in. Their geometry is specifically designed to fit the support structure correctly and incorporates a UV-protective coating for improved long-term resistance to outdoor exposure.

Después de instalar la SlimLoop de Big Signal, puedo decir que el cambio respecto a la end-fed que tenía anteriormente ha sido muy notable. He ganado tanto en recepción como en transmisión, con una mejor relación señal/ruido y una mayor facilidad para realizar contactos, especialmente en FT8 y DX.
Lo que más me ha sorprendido es el rendimiento que ofrece para el poco espacio que ocupa. Vivo en un ático y, por limitaciones de espacio, no puedo instalar antenas de mayor tamaño. La SlimLoop ha sido la solución perfecta: es muy fácil de instalar, discreta y ofrece unas prestaciones que superan mis expectativas.
Además, se defiende realmente bien en 40 metros, algo que no esperaba en una antena tan compacta, y su funcionamiento en 6 metros también es muy destacable, permitiendo aprovechar la banda cuando hay aperturas.
La calidad de construcción es excelente y se nota que está diseñada con mimo. En definitiva, si buscas una antena compacta, eficiente y con un rendimiento muy superior al que su tamaño hace pensar, la SlimLoop de Big Signal es una opción totalmente recomendable.
Llevo poco tiempo utilizando esta antena para HF, pero desde el primer momento he notado una diferencia muy importante respecto a la antena vertical D original que tenía.
La instalé en un edificio donde el espacio disponible es muy reducido, y para este tipo de instalaciones me parece una solución excelente. Uno de los aspectos que más me ha sorprendido es su bajísimo nivel de ruido, incluso estando en pleno centro de la ciudad. Gracias a ello puedo escuchar señales muy débiles que antes pasaban desapercibidas o apenas eran inteligibles.
La utilizo con un acoplador y admite hasta 500 W de potencia en picos, lo que ofrece un buen margen de funcionamiento.
En FT8 he notado una mejora clara: realizo más contactos porque ahora escucho mejor y, al mismo tiempo, mi señal llega con más facilidad. En mi experiencia, ha supuesto un cambio sustancial y estoy muy satisfecho con la compra.
