The 2BS-5B + 50MHz is larger than expected and a beast in terms of signal. The construction is very simple but functional. My only note is that the documentation could be more detailed in some areas, such as the missing gain specification for the 50MHz antenna. The setup is not difficult and is almost self-explanatory. Follow-up questions are answered promptly. For anyone who has always wanted a Cubical Quad antenna and is still unsure, I give it a clear recommendation.

Antenna installed since a week. This antenna works perfectly. SWR on all bands between 1 and 1.3 without tuning. Already made some nice contacts with very strong results over all continents with 100W.
Thanks also to Juan for the quick answers to some questions during the assembly. I also sent him Feed Back of the points that were not clear to me during the installation. Had a positive response to this as well.
Next is the installation of the Skyloop 40-10 . On this I will write feedback in the appropriate section.

j'ai envoyé un mail à l'équipe Big Signal pour leur signaler l'incident par retour j'ai reçu une enveloppe avec à l'intérieur le fil de la bande 20 mètres neuf pour mon réflecteur ; c'est là où l'on voit une société sérieuse et efficace.

This is my second 2BS-5B fom the amazing company Big Signal. Juan is a real good guy and always answers any questions you may have. I am getting great TX/RX reports and a zero noise floor on most bands. SWR is flat in many parts with a 1.5:1 being the highest on the wider bands. This is a proper DX antenna and will give you the best gains with a boom of only 10 feet.
Fantastic build quality and so easy to put together. If you cant get a big 160ft tower up with a stack of 4-5 ele monobanders then the Cubical Quad is the way to go. Read all the articles about the Quad, it works and works well.

Your 2BS-5B is an amazing antenna! My reception has improved significantly, and so have my TX reports. I was using an Optibeam OB6-3M before, and your 5-band quad completely outperforms it. Cette antenne fonctionne extrêmement bien même si l'on est dans un très bon cycle solaire. Je ne monte pas le pylône mais comme je chasse surtout les stations Fauna Flora , ou POTA , donc de petites stations, je fais depuis Juillet 2024 chaque fois que je suis en fréquence le matin des station qui sont en mobile arrêté en Australie. Je suis radioamateur depuis 1988 et je dois avouer que je n'ai jamais vu cela. A signaler que je me sers également avec bite de couplage pour faire les européens sur 40 m.
Très belle antenne en comparaison de ma Beam Force 12.
Cette antenne est exceptionnelle, en place depuis quatre jours, déjà beaucoup de contacts de destinations jamais faites.

I spent weeks and months researching and comparing various types of antennas, including Yagi, quad, log periodic, etc. After careful consideration, I concluded that the 2BS-5B antenna from Big Signal company was the optimal choice based on my specific needs and criteria: price, weight, and length of the boom. I was seeking a lightweight, high-performance antenna for DX operations, and the 2BS-5B met all my requirements.
One notable feature is the single feed line, which some purists may argue against, advocating for five separated feed lines. However, in my case, the performance is exceptional. The antenna is mounted on a 12.5m fixed mast with an electric sliding rotor cage, allowing for quick adjustment to a lower position in just 5 minutes.
The assembly process was straightforward, with pre-assembly completed alone in one evening. Installing the two elements took only 15 minutes with the assistance of a farm tractor and front hydraulic lift. Detailed markings ensured error-free assembly.
The SWR readings are impressive: 1.3 on 14 MHz, 1.2 on 18 MHz, 1.1 on 21 MHz, 1.7 on 24 MHz (as expected, per the manufacturer's information), and 1.1 on 28.5 MHz. Side rejection is excellent, measuring -5 to -6 S points.
While the front-to-back ratio is acceptable, it's important to note that, given its two-element design, substantial rejection in that aspect shouldn't be expected. In terms of performance, the antenna has proven outstanding, enabling me to work 146 new DXCC entities from August 4, 2023, to October 1, 2023.
I am exceedingly satisfied with the antenna's performance. It allows me to contact over 99% of DX stations I can hear, attracts QRP stations, provides quiet reception, and easily breaks pile-ups with my 600W maximum power when necessary. The company owner, Juan Pedro, has been consistently prompt in responding to any questions.

Buenas tardes , la antena fue comprada por el mes de julio . y ayer día 27/12/2023 la e montado para sustituir a la eaxbeam 6 B de fabricación nacional. El montaje a sido un poco engorroso y la subida a la torre igual pero ya esta en su lugar . solo puedo decir que el cambio a sido brutal de 20 a 10 metros con roe entre 1.1,2 a 1.1,5. Las pruebas han sido fantásticas muy contento con el cambio, la banda de 6 metros todavía no la e probado pero ya comentare los resultados . En cuanto a lo de acoplar en 80,40 y 30 puedo decir que se han hechos muchas pruebas a lo largo de esta mañana y encantado con el acople manual, lo he realizado con un yaesu FC-700 y acoplo muy fino rápido. Eso si en ft8 acoplado en 80,40 y 30 no lo e podido pasar de 20 watios ya que el wsjtx me hace cosa raras en fonía va de lujo con 100 watio. Dar las gracias a mi ahijado EA8DJT por la insistencia del cambio a esta antena, y a EA8DKN si ellos no hubiera podido realizar el montaje y puesta en servicio de esta maravillosa antena.

Debido a la distribución de mi azotea (Vivo en un duplex) ha resultado algo farragoso montarla abajo, pero al final se ha conseguido y bien. Subirla también ha costado, pués a sido subirla a puro musculo desde arriba.
Al final, se ha quedado montada muy bien.
La hemos comprobado con un analizador Rigexpert... Vaya!!! sorpresa agradable, la SWR excelente wow.
10m : al principio de la banda 1:1 hasta 29500 que da 1:2
12m : 1:5 , ahí va raspadita pero bien
15m : Principio de la banda 1:1, en todo el segmento de fonia 1:2/1:3
17m : toda la banda 1:2
20m : Principio de la banda 1:1 arriba en fonia 1:2
SWR excelente sin duda.
He probado a acoplar en 40m y me acopla, pero, se me vuelve loco el PC, por lo demás funciona.

Esta tarde en un par de horas y en 10m he hecho un porrón de americanos, también 9J, ZS, LU, VE, europeos...etc
Mañana temprano probaré por el paso largo para JA, VK, ZL.
Insisto, es muy pronto para sacar conclusiones, pero va de lujo, todo lo que RX lo caza.

The antenna is working perfrect, I have the below constatation :
Easy to do the installation, no issue.
Antenna is light and the fiberglass tubes are light and strong
Side rejection is verry strong -4 to -5S points easy
Front to back is less but it?s normal due to the 2 elements
Antenna boom is at 13m above ground
I have been able to do all station that I have listen, even in pile-up no issue to break pile-up also with 100W.
This is a real DX antenna and I am more than happy with the performance, it?s just amaizing.

Comprei esta antena ano passado mas só agora fiz a instalação da mesma , tenho uma yagui montada a cinco anos com três elementos está montada a cerca de 18 mt de altura , a 2BS-5B montada na mesma altura tem uma escuta fenomenal e tem só uma diferença em relação á yagui 15 db a mais .

Tras un año utilizando la antena, puedo asegurar que es una antena fantástica y con un rendimiento superior a cualquiera de las antenas anteriores que he tenido instaladas.. La recepción es lo más limpia que he tenido hasta ahora.. El ajuste de la antena a 12m del nivel del suelo es expectacular ROE muy baja en las 5 bandas y gran ancho de Banda.
Respecto al viento se comporta fenomenal ya ha pasado dos temporales con viento racheado de 120km/h y está como el primer día.
Mis Felicitaciones a Juan Pedro y a todo el equipo Bigsignal por este gran Producto..
Encantado con la antena y con el servicio.
Bueno, en este corto período puedo comentar lo siguiente: En lo negativo es que tengo Roe de 3 en la banda de 12 metros, y en lo positivo es que en 10, 15, 17, 20, 40 y 80 metros trabajo sin acoplador. En 40 metros tengo 1,7 swr de máxima y en 80m 1,5. En recepción ha bajado el qrm en 2 puntos situándose entre 3 y 5 en bandas bajas. En 6 metros lo que con la vertical no se escucha con esta sí, sin señal pero se escucha. Resto de bandas pues igual, con menos qrm y el audio más nítido y a mí parecer con menos fading. Respecto al viento, pues se comporta bien, si bien es verdad que aún no ha soplado todo lo fuerte que es habitual en la zona. De momento eso puedo comentar con apenas unas horas de uso.Recordemos que es una antena para 10, 12, 15, 17 y 20 metros y en teoría 40 y 80 se quedarían fuera pero a mí personalmente me trabaja todas estas sin uso acoplador a excepción de la de 12 metros

Recibimos las 2 antenas desde principios de la pandemia, estuvieron guardadas varios años, ahora, en Abril del 2023 fueron instaladas las 2 antenas (2BS-5B + Kit de 2 elementos para 50 MHz).

The antenna has already been installed and I am amazed about. It's incredible performance from 10 to 20 meters and I have tuned the antenna also for 30 and 40 meter and I am greatly satisfied. I have done FT8, CW and I worked West Coast, Europe and Asia.
For FT8 I have QSO with West Coast with 15 watts via LP. On my morning I easily worked North America and of course just 100 watts.
This is the first time that a Cubical Quad antenna is here on 3B9LAND and I am very grateful for your support so I could make some more boys happy in our hobby and that is my MOTTO.

Escucho lo que no escuchaba y llego donde no llegaba...¿que más puedo pedir?
No utilizo amplificadores y con los 100W que sacan los transceptores que uso, estoy trabajando todo lo que escucho. Los reportes que me dan los corresponsales son buenos y no hay mucha diferencia respecto a cómo me llegan ellos, teniendo en cuenta que la mayoría usan amplis con 1KW o más.
En general, muy buena impresión y muy contento.

Tengo la antena instalada desde hace un año y el rendimiento comparado con el de la Steppir 3 elementos 8 bandas es muy similar.
Dispongo de ella en mi QTH habitual y la cúbica en el QTH portable.
Por mi experiencia de uso de ambas antenas considero que la relación calidad precio es excelente.
Hoy hemos pasado la prueba de fuego pues ha resistido un viento de 131 km/hora, velocidad registrada en mi estación meteorólica instalada en la misma torre que la antena.
Recomiendo que la instalación de esta antena se realice con un mástil reforzado o, como es mi caso, con dos mástiles uno dentro del otro.

Bien mi experiencia con la BIG SIGNAL 2BS-5B ha sido muy buena! La he usado unos 9 meses y la verdad que va cómo un cañón. La ROE está perfecta en todas las bandas
La Antena es de 5 bandas pero la puedes usar también acoplando en 40 mts y 80 mts... En las bandas altas va muy bien te deja todas las bandas con un QRM muy bajo y escuchas a los corresponsales muy bien con una modulación muy limpia.. Durante el invierno he estado contactando en 20 mts con EE.UU y sur América con unos 80w y señales de 9 y 9+.. Creo que de las mejores antenas al ser de onda completa en cada banda. Y por la noche en 80 mts me han dado 9+20db de punta a punta de España.
Esta cúbica 2 elementos es una pasada. Cuando con las otras antenas ( hilo largo de 32 metros. Dipolo, vertical etc) copio a estaciones con señal casi de ruido, pongo la cúbica y sorpresa, señal de 9 y buen radio. Esto en recepción y luego en emisión me copian a la primera. Es un pepinazo. Aún no habiendo propa consigo hacer contactos. En resumen tira que es una bestia en las cinco bandas.
Hola a todos, esta antena es un cañón. He trabajado varios países entre ellos: Japón, Indonesia, Alaska, Sur África... con una potencia de 100 W. Es fabulosa esta antena y muy contento con ella. 73
Que contaros de esta antena si los compañeros ya lo han dicho todo, es un cañón, cuando hago DX a Norte América les sorprende mucho que les conteste, cuando ellos están en mínimas condiciones de trabajo (100 W. y un dipolo de hilo) jejeje. Además, es una antena que se monta más fácil que las Yagi multibanda, en mi caso, la instalé yo solo en mi torre con la ayuda de un camión canasta. Por cierto, comentaros que el viejo mito de que estas antenas no aguantan temporales, en mi caso no es así, porque ya ha pasado unos pocos y la antena sigue intacta. A sí que nada, os ánimo y veréis como no te arrepentirás de esta compra. 73!
Después de 4 años usando una HexBeam cambié a una 2BS-5B. La recepción en mi QTH de ciudad ha mejorado mucho. Ahora abro y cierro la banda con su bajo ángulo de radiación y escucho algunos DXCC que antes no. La construcción muy sólida, muy contento.
La antena la tengo a unos 8 metros de altura, ahora el ruido que tengo es 0/1 parece que no hay antena. En las 5 bandas el ancho de banda es alucinante, te vas de la banda y te da mas. Utilizo solo 100 W. y lo que mas me gusta es eso de -Con que demonios sales que me llegas +20 dB con audio increíble- eso creo que es una buena señal y nunca mejor dicho. En definitiva encantado al 100x100.
La ROE esta perfecta, la antena va como un tiro, es superior y silenciosa comparada con mi anterior Yagui multibanda de más elementos. Viene con un regalo extra, en 40 metros puedo acoplarla y después de probarla puedo decir que realmente va muy pero que muy bien. ¡Fantástico trabajo! 73 y nos escuchamos en las bandas.
Después de unas semanas usando la antena BIG SIGNAL 2BS-5B no tengo más que buenas impresiones. Después de haber disfrutado el montaje de la antena, por su sencillez, y haberla subido a la torre con relativa facilidad por su escaso peso, llegó el momento de probarla. Soy consciente de que compararla con otra antena sin tener las dos montadas a la vez, es imposible. Por este motivo he de decir que las sensaciones están siendo muy buenas. Las estaciones que escucho, las trabajo y soy capaz de escuchar la gran mayoría de estaciones reportadas en el cluster. Respecto a la ROE casi plana en todas las bandas.
La antena es un cañón, comparada contra otra antena Yagi multibanda de más elementos siempre es superior, se la lleva pero una cosa...
